On this week’s show Joey Davidson and myself, Erik Norris, are tackling 38 Studios’ upcoming action-RPG, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. For anyone that doesn’t know, Reckoning is a title developed by a powerhouse of creative forces. For starters, 38 Studios is owned by former MLB pitcher Curt Shilling (yes, really); The game’s story and lore is being written by acclaimed fantasy novelist R.A. Salvatore; and, lastly, the game’s art direction is spearheaded by artist Todd McFarlane (creator of Spawn), while Ken Rolston (Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion) is acting as executive designer on the title. For this Watch Us Play episode, Joey and I have fired up the recently released demo for Reckoning. You’ll get to see some of the title’s tutorial segment, as well as a short glimpse of its beautiful, lush outside environments. Oh, you’ll stare at a lot of manly moustaches. Enjoy!
