Alona Tal is an Israeli actress and singer. She has starred on such series as "Cult," "Burn Notice," and "Supernatural," as well as recorded with artist Wyclef Jean.
Alona Tal was born in HerzLiya, Israel on October 20, 1983. Growing up in Israel, she is of the Jewish faith, although when asked about religion, she simply describes herself as "spiritual." Although now a rising actress and singer, her career path started out much different than the majority in this particular field. In fact, it would be safe to say that most actress haven't served on the Israel Defense Forces. However, this was Alona's profession prior to getting into acting.
Once out of the military, Alona's first acting gig came in the form of a children's musical video tape, in which she played an evil witch. She then went on to appear in an Israeli laundry detergent commercial before finally landing a lead role in the film, "Lihiyot Kochav," or "To Be a Star." From here, she was offered roles on two Israeli TV shows, both of which she took. Of course, being a passionate singer as well, she began songs with Israeli rapper, Subliminal, too.

Eventually, Alona moved to New York City to pursue both careers more. It was while here that she met fellow singer, Wyclef Jean, and recorded the song "Party to Damascus" with him. She sang the chorus of the song in Hebrew. While Alona is a talented singer, she is better known for her acting, which really took off once she found her way to the U.S. She originally auditioned for the lead role on the series, "Veronica Mars." Even though she didn't get the part, creator Rob Thomas liked her so much that he created a recurring role for the actress on the series. This exposure lead not only to guest spots on shows such as "Supernatural" and "Burn Notice," but eventually lead roles on the short-lived series "Cane" and "Cult."
