Bio

Amanda Schull was born on August 26, 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii where she grew up. She attended Punahou School while also training at the Hawaii State Ballet under John Landovsky. Her skills also vastly improved through Ballet Hawaii, as well. Her years of intensive training would finally come to fruition when she was awarded a full scholarship to Indiana University, where she would major in not just ballet, but journalism. By her sophomore year, however, she decided to begin taking summer dance classes at the San Francisco Ballet School Summer Intensive, who wound up offering her a year free of charge to continue studying there.

Once her year-long scholarship at SFBS ended in 1999, Amanda was then offered an apprenticeship at the San Francisco Ballet, which she accepted. Fortunately, the good news didn't stop there, either. While in attendance, she was also cast in the lead role as Jody Sawyer in the 2000 film "Center Stage." Therefore, during film, she was still technically in an apprenticeship with the SFB, eventually joining as a full-time member of its corps de ballet.

By 2006, Amanda had retired from the SFB and could then pursue acting primarily. Since doing so, she has gone on to star in over 25 television series and films. Most notably on the television front, she has starred in recurring roles on four popular series: "One Tree Hill," "Pretty Little Liars," "Suits," and the SyFy channel series inspired by the film "12 Monkeys." In addition, she has starred in films such as "Women on Top," "Mao's Last Dancer," and Clint Eastwood-directed biopic "J. Edgar."
