Bio

Maria Fernanda Romero Martinez was born in Mexico City, Mexico in 1983. Unlike most aspiring actresses or models, she wasn't just randomly discovered by a talent agent at a mall and put into movies, but instead rose to fame as part on a BMG music group known as "Fizzby," which not only toured Central America in its heyday, but also produced two top ten singles and performed for Pope John Paul II at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.

From here, Fernanda was able to begin modeling when she turned 18, which lead to several campaigns for popular brands such as J.C. Penney, Pepsi, and Apple, to name a few. This, in turn, lead to posing in several popular magazines such as GQ Mexico, OK Magazine Espanol, and ELLE Mexico.

Fernanda's onscreen career began when she was cast as the host of popular Univision series, "Control," which lead to other small roles on Telemundo, and even her first feature film role in "Creature of Darkness." Of course, she never received much U.S. attention until starring in 2008's "The Eye" with Jessica Alba. (http://www.mandatory.com/girls/jessica-alba/) Ever since, she's continued to tear up the big and small screens here in the states and her native Mexico. Most notably, she also starred in Sam Raimi's "Drag Me to Hell."

Of course, being just an actress or model is never enough, so on the side, Fernanda still produces music for and sings in the band, White Cherries.
