India de Beaufort is a British television and film actress, as well as a former singer and child performer. She is best known for her roles on series such as "One Tree Hill," "Jane by Design" and "Blood and Oil," as well as Maya Goshdashtidar in the film "Run, Fatboy, Run."
As far as sexy actresses go, India de Beaufort's story has a familiar ring to it. Fortunately, her look is one in a million. Born India Beaufort Lloyd in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, she has said she was inspired to get into the entertainment business by her parents, who were both in the business themselves. Of course, India initially wanted to be a singer much more than an actress, which is why when she landed a role on "The Basil Brush Show" at age 15, it was like a dream come true. The character she played on the series was a singer, which meant she was able to not only tour nationwide, but record songs like "Boom! Boom! It's Basil Brush" which wound up on the UK charts for three weeks.
India's career took a much needed left turn in 2007 when she was cast as one of the female leads in the David Schwimmer-directed comedy "Run, Fatboy, Run." Having been teetering on the brink of singer and actress for years, she was given some much needed advice by the movie's director to pursue acting primarily instead of singing. This would end up leading to numerous starring roles on series like "Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire," "One Tree Hill" and "Blood and Oil."
Aside from her career, India enjoys sewing and even sometimes designs her own clothing. This should come as no surprise considering she studies fashion during her time at Esher College in Surrey. At one point shortly after starring in "Run, Fatboy, Run," she was even the US face of makeup line Me by Mezhgan.
