Jaime King is an American actress and model. She is best known for her roles in films such as "Sin City" and "Pearl Harbor."
Jaime King was born in the suburbs of Omaha, Nebraska on April 23, 1979 to parents Nancy and Robert King. Nancy was a former beauty queen herself, which most likely influenced Jaime to follow suit. As a child, her family's nickname for her was "James," which came in handy when she booked her first modeling gig. She attended Nancy Bounds' Studios, which was a modeling school, until she was discovered by a talent agent at the age of 14 and brought to New York the next year to begin modeling professionally. Her career then skyrocketed, landing her on the pages of such popular publications as Vogue, Allure, and Seventeen. She even made the covers of Glamour and Harper's Bazaar when she was just 16 years old, and was featured in the cover story of New York Times magazine article the same year.

Sadly, with success can sometimes come problems, especially when it comes to drugs and alcohol. After booking her first gigs in 1994, Jaime became addicted to both heroin and alcohol. It was a major problem for her up until 1997, when her boyfriend, fashion photographer Davide Sorrenti, died of an overdose of the drug, causing Jaime to get clean, and begin focusing on her acting career, as she had retired from modeling the previous year with plans to focus on writing or photography.
Ever since, Jaime has been making a splash on both the big and small screen. Her first major role came in the form of the daughter to Johnny Depp's character in the now immensely popular film, "Blow." Since then, she has gone on to star in such major motion pictures as "Pearl Harbor" and "Sin City" (those being some of the most recognizable). She has also had regular roles on TV series such as "Kitchen Confidential," "Gary Unmarried," and The CW's "Hart of Dixie."
