Janet Ruth Montgomery was born in Bournemouth, Dorset, England on October 29, 1985. Initially trained as a dancer at the at the Stella Mann College of Performing Arts in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England, she chose to instead pursue an acting career. This, of course, proved difficult at first, considering her lack of dram school training. However, with a little persistence, she landed her first acting role at the age of 12 on the British children's show, "Short Change."
From here, things began to shape up for Janet. After landing her first acting gig, she went on to produce a hit play alongside fellow English actor and friend, Gethin Anthony. By 2008, she was making a guest appearance as the love interest of Nicholas Hoult on the popular UK teen drama series, "Skins," as well as in the TV movie "Dis/Connected" and the short film, "Flushed." These appearances were enough to take her acting career to the next level, as the following year she landed a role in the horror film, "The Hills Run Red," which lead to future horror films, "Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead," and "Dead Cert."
