Katrina Campins is probably best known to audiences as a contestant in 2004 on NBC's reality show "The Apprentice" and more recently "Miami Social," which highlighted the social scene of South Beach.
Katrina Campins said of watching herself on "The Apprentice": "It was humbling to say the least. Because you don't realize the way that you react to certain situations until you actually see it on television" (futoncritic.com).
Growing up, Katrina got a scholarship to attend Cornel, but turned it down and instead graduated from the University of Miami with a 4.0 GPA while majoring in International Finance and Marketing. "Most of my friends.had the whole college experience.I didn't because I spent most of my time in the library. Looking back, I was never interested in partying on Thursday night like most college people did, and I never even went out on a Thursday night until after college. I was the biggest dork!"
Katrina said of her time on "The Apprentice": "Once the show became the big phenomenon that it had become, I realized that I needed to use it as a stepping stone to something else rather than just, oh, ok, here are my 15 minutes of fame.I had a strong clientele beforehand, but my dream has always been to have my own real estate brokerage, one stop show, powerhouse" (pr.com).
After her appearance on "The Apprentice," Katrina worked as an NFL correspondent for ESPN and also worked at CNBS before co-founding The Campins Company with her husband, Ben Moss. Her real estate company focuses on catering to sports and entertainment celebrities.
But her relationship with Ben took a turn: "I think our business relationship took over. We became more of a brother/sister type relationship. And when you're with someone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, there's definitely some challenging times" (realitytvworld.com). They have subsequently divorced, but remain close. "He's definitely still one of my best friends."
Katrina Campins also posed for FHM in 2004.
Katrina's inspiration came from her mother who told her "education is the one thing that no one can take away from you" and "don't depend on a man for anything!"
