Kristi Leskinen is an American freestyler skier probably best known for being the first woman to pull a rodeo 720.
Kristi Leskinen won a bronze medal in the Women’s Superpipe at the Winter X Games IX. Though she is not an Olympian, she is a hottie on the snow.
She grew up in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. As she said, “I grew up at a small mountain…my family bought a ski condo when I was 12, and my passion started…all we did there was jump. I got into mogul skiing because it was the only organized freestyle event that I was interested in…without moguls I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
In high school, Kristi Leskinen did well in sports. Story goes that she learned how to pole vault two weeks before Regional’s in her senior year and she ended up setting a school record. In swimming, she was the Western Pennsylvania breaststroke champion.
Kristi Leskinen later took up freesking and in her first US Open was the only women doing the Big Air event. Later on, the sport had grown more popular and more than 40 athletes participated in the Superpipe, where she took second place.
She has appeared in the film “Ski Porn.” She has also appeared on the cover of Powder magazine and had a spread in FHM. As for her pin-up reputation, she said, “I can’t knock it. If modeling gets me noticed, that helps me promote the causes I care about. But I’m a skier first.” She added later, “Skiing is what I really take seriously.”
Kristi Leskinen was also nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Choice Female Action Sports Star. In 2009, she appeared on the ABC show “The Superstars,” where athletes and celebrities competed for a title. She and her partner won.
Kristi Leskinen said her dad was her hero. “He’s the coolest man alive. Played pro football and now he’s a judge.” When looking for a man, she said she looks for a guy that is “really hot, and he has to ski better than me.”
