Lea Seydoux is a French actress and model. She is known best to American audiences for her roles in such films as "Inglourious Basterds," "Robin Hood," and "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol."
Lea Seydoux was born in Paris, France on July 1, 1985. She is both the granddaughter of Jerome Seydoux, Chairman of Pathe, and the grandniece of Nicolas Seydoux, Chairman and CEO of Gaumont. Lea grew up between Paris and Senegal, and after graduating from school, decided that she would enroll in some acting classes with a friend of hers. By 2006, she was cast in her first feature as one of the leads in the film, "Mes copines" (translates to "My Classmates"). From here, she continued to land more French film roles until 2009, when she was cast in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds."

The same year as "Inglourious Basterds," Lea was nominated for the César Award for Most Promising Actress for her role in "La belle personne" (translates to "The Beautiful Person"). She also won the 2009 Chopard Award for “Best Upcoming Actress” for this role as well. It is hard to measure the success of Lea's other foreign features since besides through word of mouth, but her career was definitely heating up both overseas and here in the U.S. Soon, she was landing major roles in films here such as "Robin Hood," "Midnight in Paris," and "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol." Since then, she was also cast in Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel," as well as caused quite a stir at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, where her role in the film "Blue Is the Warmest Colour" was much talked about, particularly for scenes of her and fellow actress Adele Exarchopoulos' unsimulated lesbian sex scenes with each other.
Along with her already lucrative acting career, Lea is quite the accomplished model as well. Along with appearing in such fashion magazines as Vogue Paris, Numero, W, L'Officiel, and Another, she is also the face of Prada Candy. Along with that, she also represents the brand's 2012 Resort line.
