Meisa Kuroki is a Japanese actress, model and singer. She is most famous for her roles in films including "Vexille," "Crows Zero" and "Space Battleship Yamato." She has also released two studio albums titled "Magazine" and "Unlocked."
Meisa Kuroki, who was born Satsuki Shimabukuro on May 28, 1988 in Okinawa, Japan, is a rising success story who you've likely not heard of if you live in the U.S. However, with her career moving steadily forward, it is only a matter of time.
Having been discovered by a modeling scout when she was just in her second year of junior high school, Meisa was instantly recruited to work exclusively with popular fashion magazine JJ. While doing so, she eventually began studying at the Okinawa Actors School, where she eventually graduated from in 2007. It was during her time at the school that she also began singing with their all-girl band B.B. Waves.

With so many balls in the air as far as future career paths go, you would think Meisa would have chosen just one to follow intently. Instead, she decided to spread the love around. As a result, she has not only starred in over 40 television series and popular films including "Vexille" and "Space Battleship Yamato," but also provided one of the music tracks for another film she starred in titled "Crows Zero." This has lead to a very successful career in music for the young star, who now has two studio records and counting under her belt.
Along with all this, Meisa was named the Japanese face of Emporio Armani in 2009, and cosmetic brand L'Oreal just a year later. She has also done prominent modeling work for brands like Epson.
