Nicola Peltz is an American actress probably best known for her role in the 2010 film “The Last Airbender.” She is set to appear in the upcoming film “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” in which she plays Mark Wahlberg’s on-screen daughter. She will also be seen in “Affluenza,” which is set during the financial meltdown of 2008.
Nicola Peltz wrote on Twitter: “Love above all.” Her nickname is Nicky. She is a mix of Austrian, Russian and German ancestry. Apparently, her mother, Claudia, is a former model and her father is a billionaire businessman who once owned the Snapple brand.
When she was younger, Nicola Peltz played ice hockey. “I think my dad thought I was going to be in the women’s league for ice hockey. But I totally fell in love with drama in grade school.” She started acting at age 12 at the Manhattan Theatre Club. “It’s been such a fun journey, but it has been hard. You have your ups and downs in this business, but at the end of the day, I love acting and I love reading scripts and building my character. It’s what makes me happy” (collider.com). She has also appeared on “Bates Motel” and “Eye of the Hurricane.”
Nicola Peltz is a New York native and began modeling when she was young. She has seven siblings and was considered one of the 55 faces of the future by Nylon Magazine’s Young Hollywood Issue.

Nicola Peltz said of landing “Bates Motel,” “I read the pilot and I honestly fell in love with it…I’m so lucky to be part of the this project. I’m such a fan of Hitchcock.” It was also her first TV series gig. The first time she watched “Psycho,” the film on which the series is based, it was with her grandmother.
Nicola Peltz currently resides in New York City and has spoken of a desire to attend NYU one day. As of this posting, she was single.
