Bio

Rebecca Budig was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 26, 1973, but raised in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. The youngest of eight children (five sisters and two brothers), she went on to graduate from the Cincinnati Public Schools School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) before attending Miami University in Ohio to attain her zoology degree. By 1993, Rebecca decided to move to Los Angeles in order to pursue a career in acting, where she studied under acting coaches Howard Fine and Jay Goldenberg.

Rebecca's career, like many aspiring actresses, started out small. Her first official acting gig came in the form of the music video for the song 'Livin' on the Edge," by Aerosmith. Soon after, she was cast as a teenage girl who is saved by actor Chris O'Donnell's Dick Grayson/Robin character in "Batman Forever." She continued to land small roles in films such as "Captain Nuke and the Bomber Boys" and "God's Lonely Man" before being cast in the recurring role of Michelle Bauer on the soap opera, "Guiding Light" in 1997. This, of course, only proved to be a stepping stone, as soon after, she took on the role of Grennlee Lavery on ABC's "All My Children," which she continued to work on until 2011.

Since being cast on "All My Children," Rebecca has continued to play guest roles on television shows such as "Hope & Faith," "How I Met Your Mother," and "Castle." She has also begun to branch back into features. The year 2012 saw her starring in the ensemble comedy, "Bad Parents," where she played the role of Allison. Then, in her biggest film role to date, she took on the part of Leanne, the kidnapped wife of Ethan Hawke's character in 2013's "Getaway."
