Introducing Peasants & Travelers Men
Say goodbye to Jansport!

May 10, 2009

The options for today's man on the go are limited - far too many guys still sport the Jansport-style bags, rockin' high school fashions when they're well out of their teens. It's time for an upgrade. The new San Francisco men’s bag company Peasants and Travelers has arrived with a 12-piece line of bags, totes and carryalls for the upscale, rugged-urban guy who knows how to put himself together.

Coupled with heavy-duty water-resistant materials, the bags' simple, subtle exteriors and fine men’s-shirt interior-lining make the perfect upscale carrier for your accessories and needs.

Launched this year by Jee Kim, an FIT grad whose resume includes Neiman Marcus and Banana Republic, the line of bags ($29-$199) includes a streamlined, leather-bottomed backpack, a classy/sophisto computer bag, as well as a sleek black doctor’s bag and sleek overnighter in forest green and orange polyester with leather and nickel accents.

The company name is Kim’s homage to her extensive travels throughout Europe and Asia, and the many people she encountered along the way.

With a bag for every occasion, Peasants & Travelers offers refined, versatile, and practical bags with just the right amount of softness and style for today’s metropolitan man-about-town. Perfect for trips to the gym, the beach or the field, Peasants and Travelers bags the perfect accessory for the guy on the move who's got it together and has graduated beyond the Jansport.

The stylish navy/orange backpack, my favorite, has plenty of compartments - including a padded laptop sleeve - without being bulky. The contoured shoulder straps likely make this a very comfortable backpack, not to mention super stylish and functional.
