Are you ready for this? It looks like the people over at Zune have teamed up with Allen Iverson to produce a very special, and very limited edition shoe this June.
For his entire hall of fame career Allen Iverson (AI) has been a trend setter when it came to NBA inspired style. Microsoft (makers of the Zune player) looks to build on that by tapping into his massive fan base. Reebok, who makes the Answers signature shoe The Answer IX is planning on rolling out just sixty pairs that will have the Zune logo featured on the sneaker. Looks like you’ll be getting in line early this year.
The sneakers will be sold with a customized Zune 8g black digital media player, featuring etched AI graphics on the back that is loaded with special AI content including his Reebok commercials, playlists and interview footage of other Reebok athletes talking about the first time they played against AI in the league. The sneakers and Zune media player will also come in special packaging.
The whole package should retail for $300.00, but you get the great shoe and the Zune player in one package. Now for the bad news, the special Iverson shoe plus Zune player is going to hard to find. Only five retailers nationwide will carry the package, and each store is only getting twelve. Wait! Don’t leave to make camp until I tell you where you’ll be camping out until June.
The kicks will available at these stores Complex/Training Day Store (NYC), Major Commonwealth (DC), Commonwealth (VA), Wish (ATL), and The 400 (Denver)
That’s right LA, your nearest store is Denver, where The Answer leads the Denver Nuggets. Good luck being the first one in line in that state. Odds are good that we’ll trying to find these bad boys on the net for the price of a car down payment very soon. If you manage to get your hands on this package, prepare to deflect the haters.
