She may be engaged but that didn’t stop 23-year-old hottie Tanah Combs from letting us in on what she looks for in a guy and where the best pick-up hotspots are.
What projects are you working on right now?
I just did a photo shoot for Cheeky Couture, and tomorrow I’ll be at a shoot for Hot Rod Car Care in connection with a breast cancer fundraiser.
What type of men do you typically find attractive?
The smarter the better. My dream guy is someone who is super intelligent but also has a great sense of humor. I want them to have sort of ambition too, someone who goes for their goals.
Who’s your Hollywood crush?
If I could put someone on my dream pick-up list it would probably be Jim Carrey.
What’s the worst pickup line you’ve heard?
A guy introduced himself as a firefighter and asked me if I want to slide down his pole. It was during spring break on Panama City beach. I just laughed – I didn’t think he was serious! It was one of those “oh my gosh, really?” moments.
What’s the biggest turn-off?
Cockiness – you can be self-confident without being rude to people.
Do you find that men are intimidated to approach you?
I think they are, but once you get to know me I’m pretty easy-going so people tend to open up once we start talking.
What would be the ultimate first date?
I would love to take a dog to a dog park because I don’t have one. I used to groom animals that were about to be adopted and there are so many animals who need a little love. And I like being outside.
I also enjoy Chinese buffets or a nice Mexican restaurant, places where you can talk. That’s why I hate the movies – you can’t talk!
Where’s the best pick-up locale?
Not the bars – people at bars are there for the wrong reasons (unless you’re looking to hook up). If you want a relationship you should go somewhere that you’d have a mutual interest with someone, like the library if you have a paper coming up, or at a gaming convention – there’s great girls there who are a lot of fun (and they also already have the costumes!).
What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I think people would be surprised to know that I’m good at chemistry.

Ice cream. I love ice cream. I love all ice cream.
What do you think is your best physical asset?
My eyes – people are always intrigued by them because they’re different colors (green, gold, and blue).
