Miss Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez becomes Miss Universe 2009. The previous holder of the Miss Universe title, Dayana Mendoza was also a former Miss Venezuela. The 18 year old Fernandez was crowned live from Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas before a worldwide international audience of approximately one billion viewers.
