Have you ever wondered if it’s possible for self-ridicule to be so excessive that it makes your most embarrassing failures look like pre-meditated works of genius? |
Not only is it possible, but it also makes for one of the most hilarious situational comedy premises in the short history of web-based programming. David Faustino and Corin Nemec (best known as Bud Bundy from “Married With Children” and Parker Lewis from “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose”, respectively) have created a show that takes the piss out of exploitative, predatory reality television producers by exaggerating their personal lives into a sort of anti-“Entourage” show that’s about 10,000 times funnier than that show ever was. The show is called “Star-ving”, and it debuts exclusively on Crackle.com each Friday.
We talked to the two stars about their show’s origin, the depths of depravity that they are willing and able to go to for laughs, and what the future holds for David and Corin.
