The prevalence of LCD TV for outdoor use have been widespread. They are almost ubiquitous in metropolises like Tokyo and New York, and around the world they are installed next to busy highway intersections as a way to convert public space into advertisement space. These TVs are of course purpose built to be resistant to all forms of common vandalism and very, very expensive.
Well, Pantel have the idea of bringing the same concept indoors in the form of their new line of waterproof LCD TVs which is wall mounted can now be placed in many places that you wouldn't normally want to put a household electrical appliance in. Examples? The bathroom, sauna, etc. Why would anybody want a huge LCD tv in the bathroom is beyond me (aside from the WOW factor, it's hardly useful). Upscale hotels might want to put one in their exclusive saunas, providing many sweaty men and women with entertainment while they roast themselves.
The price of these TVs range from $US 1200 for a 20-inch display up to $US5800 for the high end 42-incher which is capable of Full HD.* source
