LG has been making some strides in the product design department and they are also expanding into some pretty interesting markets. Their latest product is the XD1, a portable hard drive that looks pretty damned cool.

The XD1 will come in a variety of storage capacities, ranging from 160GB to a whopping 320GB of storage. Of course, the hard drive itself is probably of Samsung, Western Digital or Seagate origins, but the exterior is all LG. It uses a standard 2.5-in laptop hard drive with SATA II interface and a USB2.0 connector, so one could swap the internal hard drive with a standard laptop hard disk.

The casing is a gradient of black or red wine colour, which makes the LG XD1 looks extremely fasionable compared to the rather bland offerings by other companies, often only coming in one colour. It also looks like other products that LG is making, so if you are a fan of LG styling, then this will be the portable hard drive for you.* source
