SRT8 Grand Cherokee

For only $39,995, you can own a Grand Cherokee that does 0-60 in under 5 seconds, and is the first Jeep to be badged SRT. And it's almost as fast as the Dodge Viper -- SUV drag races here we come!
The Street and Racing Technology tuner division of Chrysler, founded in 2002, has created 11 SRT badged rides and the Jeep is the second fastest, bested only by the 510-horsepower Dodge Viper SRT10.

Available in January, the SRT8 Grand Cherokee gets a 6.1-liter HEMI engine that puts out 420 horsepower and 420 lb.- ft. of torque. The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is quicker than Porsche Cayenne Turbo and BMW X5, and has 90 more hp and 27% more power than the 5.7-liter HEMI-equipped Jeep Grand Cherokee.

To be able to stop the beast, Jeep uptuned the brakes to includes Brembo four-piston calipers clamping 360 x 32 mm vented rotors in front, and 350 x 26 mm rotors in the rear.

And to help with lift and drag, there's a new front fascia that incorporates ducts to direct air to cool the brakes. Side sill extensions create downforce, while a new rear fascia features a center cutout for 4-inch dual exhaust tips.

There are three exterior colors, Bright Silver, Brilliant Black and Inferno Red, and one interior choice, Medium Slate.

It's not all about power, though, you can add optional heated, power-adjustable front seats, a power sunroof, rain-sensing automatic wipers, a rear-seat video system with overhead screen, DVD-based navigation system and SIRIUS satellite radio.
