Students at Fire Groove spin fire for their first time after a 6 week class.
After completeing a six week introductory course in either poi, hoop or staff and completing a fire safety course, students of the LA based group Fire Groove get to put the skills they've learned to use and light their spin tools on fire. The event takes place amid warehouses converted into artist workshops, with music and fuel provided by Fire Groove. Check out these students as they spin fire, most of them for the first time.
