Forty-year-old actress Genevieve Sabourin was arraigned for stalking actor Alec Baldwin in a New York City court yesterday.
She was picked up at Baldwin's Manhattan apartment and was charged with four counts of aggravated harassment and stalking. It wasn't the first time the two had met – they first encountered one another a decade ago while working on "The Adventures of Pluto Nash," and she'd shown up at various events where Baldwin was working in recent months. Sabourin had also been sending Baldwin strange emails for weeks.
On Sunday night, Sabourin was trying to convince the building doorman to let her in to Baldwin's building. According to reports on TMZ, "The doorman called Baldwin – who was at his OTHER home in the Hamptons at the time – but the actor instantly recognized her name. According to the NY Post, Sabourin had allegedly tracked Baldwin down at his home in the Hamptons on March 31… and then followed him to an event at the Lincoln Center a few days later… and frankly, Baldwin was concerned. We're told Baldwin felt Sabourin had been stalking him to a point where he and his fiancee felt threatened. We're told Baldwin told his doorman NOT to allow the woman inside his building… and then he notified police. Cops swooped in… and arrested Sabourin at the building for aggravated harassment and stalking at 7:45pm."
The Associated Press said that a judge released Sabourin on her own recognizance and issued a temporary order of protection for Baldwin. According to IMDB, Sabourin has appeared in such TV shows as "Vice caché" and "C.A." and film projects like "Eternal" and "Saints-Martyrs-des-Damnés."
