Advertising is far from cheap. In today's world, billboard and poster advertising can be astronomically expensive, especially in big cities like Los Angeles and New York City.
My question is how in the world did the Tosh 5.29 movement afford to put this billboard up at Venice Blvd and the 10 HWY?
I live just down the street and drove past the sign earlier this week on my way to work.
Either these Tosh 5.29 Movement fans have a stockpile of money or Daniel Tosh is somehow involved. Is it possible that he is actually leading the movement himself? If so… would I get to hang out with him if I joined? I have done plenty of stand-up comedy at the clubs here in Los Angeles so I'm going to start asking around through my comic buddies and see if any of them know how I can get in contact with the followers.
I told one of my comic friends from NYC and he sent me a picture he took on the subway a couple weeks ago:
It's not just the Yankee fans at the baseball game copying what they saw in LA. They're actually "moving" in NYC in strong numbers as well. Maybe even stronger.
I feel like I'm starting to sound crazy myself, but for some reason I can't stop thinking about this whole movement situation. Maybe I just need some time off. Thankfully, Memorial Day weekend is coming up and I will get an extra couple days out of the office.
I'll let you all know if I see anything else.
