Ford used the 2013 North American International Auto Show in its own backyard to highlight the new Ford Atlas Truck Concept.

When put into production, the Atlas would run 238 inches long by 88 inches wide, with a wheelbase of 150 inches. The EcoBoost engine will have Auto Start-Stop optimized for trucks paired with a six-speed SelectShif automatic transmission. The 22-inch alloy wheels and all-terrain tires support a cargo capacity of 500 pounds.

The new truck's preview peek seems even more appropriate considering this is the 65th anniversary of the Ford F-Series – the best selling truck series in the world. To celebrate that seminal date (January 16, 1948). Ford execs decided to pull a few items from its archives commemorating the original F Series trucks, including a press release describing Ford's first new "post war" products.
