Montreal Business Conference C2-MTL In Full Swing

Event draws business leaders and speakers from around the world.

C2 MTL

The annual C2-MTL business conference is getting a lot of hype in Montreal as it wraps up tomorrow.

Running from May 21-23, the event attracts both participants and attendees from across Canada and beyond. Looking at business as well as creative pursuits, the three-day event is designed to inspire right and left brain thinking through a smorgasbord of non-traditional experiences like multimedia conferences by world-class speakers, engaging exhibitions, collaborative workshops, a creativity Boot Camp, along with evening festivities. It all happens in an unconventional innovation village, designed specifically to enhance the C2-MTL experience.

“We really want to lower the barrier between different industries because people have a lot to learn from each other,” said participant John Woldenberg to CBC News. “I like disruptive thinkers and this is filled with incredible entrepreneurs that aren't bound by any institutional expectations and think outside the box."

This year's distinguished list of speakers include Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Group, architect and designer Philippe Starck, founding CEO of ING Direct Arkadi Kuhlmann, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics' head Bobbi Brown herself, and John Mackey, co-founder and CEO of Whole Foods. More than 2000 people are expected to attend before the events ends tomorrow.
