Are We There Yet? – Travel News

Cancun, Sedona, and Namibia.

Sedona, one of my favourite places on earth, was named one of the Top 25 Destinations in the United States by TripAdvisor (I'm not surprised). Also, Diamond continues to raise the standard of customer service in the hospitality and vacation ownership industries, receiving the RCI Gold Crown Resort award at The Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort in Sedona and the RCI Silver Crown Resort award at Scottsdale Villa Mirage in nearby Scottsdale, AZ. The Butterfly Garden Inn is the perfect place to find refuge from the stress of everyday life. The tranquil inn, situated eight miles north of Sedona in Oak Creek Canyon, has charming 1-3 bedroom cabins with kitchens and fireplaces. A delicious breakfast basket is delivered to the cabin each morning. Visit TheButterflyGardenInn.com. Finally, Sedona's newest restaurant and nightlife hotspot, Sound Bites Grill, features live jazz, blues, funk, rock and dance music. The restaurant serves fresh, healthy entrees paired with an extensive wine list including local Arizona Wines. Great for late night dining and entertainment. Check out the Guitar Gallery featuring high-end signed six strings, the amazing red rock views and the Supper Club Nights.

If you're headed south to Cancun, there's more travel news to share. Cancun is celebrating the grand opening of the largest Louis Vuitton in Latin America along with the Second Annual Cancun-Riviera Maya Food & Wine Festival, Karisma Hotel’s partnership with Jackson Family Wines, an Air Supply concert and SNL performance at Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort, and hotel deals that will make experiencing all that is new in Cancun that much easier.

And in other somewhat travel-related news, the unveiling of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2013 will reveal Namibia as one of the featured international backdrops. Known as the "Land of Endless Horizons," this southern African destination's natural wonders provided a dramatic setting for SI Swimsuit models to be photographed in front of the world's tallest sand dunes in Namib-Naukluft National Park and the mysterious diamond mining ghost town of Kolmanskop. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2013 issue will hit newsstands and launch online at www.si.com/swimsuit on Tuesday, February 12. Get a sneak peek here.

Bon Voyage,

Jenn
