Because no one likes dead batteries.

It’s nearly 2010, and by now most of us are carrying some piece of electronic gear that requires a battery to be charged every now and again. I, for one, am glad that it’s not the era of the Walkman or a Discman, both of which required constant AA battery replacement and damn near a second mortgage on your home to power. Thankfully, most of today’s gadgets have Li-ion batteries (or some other type of onboard power source) that are rechargeable and hold their charge for a decent amount of time.

However, there’s a problem; most of us let the charge on our phone, MP3 player, Bluetooth device, GPS unit, or digital camera run dry – and it’s not until we’re on-the-go and in dire need of using them that we wish we had something with which to charge them. That’s where the Travel Charging Folio from Charge4ALL comes in.

The Travel Charging Folio features four charging ports, allowing you to charge four devices at once. Plus, Charge4ALL has made the effort to differentiate the Travel Charging Folio from the rest of pack, which usually looks like a tangled octopus trying to masturbate, by encasing a miniature power strip in a case that zips shut like a portable CD carrier (remember those?).

Charge4ALL also claims that since the Travel Charging Folio uses 75% less energy since it uses a single power source.

Undressing the Travel Charging Folio

Charge4ALL had the foresight to include five different charging plugs (for iPhones and iPods, Mini and Micro USBs, Samsung SCHs, and the LG Chocolates) and to provide you with both an AC adapter and a DC car adapter. Actually, at a sale price of $44.95 you can afford to buy two units, one to keep in your car and one for either your office or home. Still, the Travel Charging Folio is really quit portable and convenient that only one is needed.

Other than what I’ve already mentioned, there’s not much to the Travel Charging Folio. The casing is made of vinyl, there’s an on/off light, and there’s a one-year limited warranty.
