More like Tim Teb-FAUX.

It is not an uncommon occurrence for random people to reach out to celebrities via the internet with hopes that the celebrities will attend special events in those fans’ lives. Last year, we saw both Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake attend the Marine Corps Ball after being invited by two Marines using the magic of YouTube.

But what is a person to do when said celebrity doesn’t accept the invitation or doesn’t even have the chance to respond to it? In Rachel Bird’s case, you have a plan B.

The senior at Kingsley-Pierson High School in Iowa made a $50 bet with a classmate that she could get Tim Tebow to go to prom with her. However, when she attempted to contact him via Twitter, she didn’t receive a response. So she created her own version of Tebow-ing.

Bird went to her local Staples and found out how much it would be to print a life-sized image of the popular NFL quarterback. While life-sized prints tend to be pretty costly, Bird learned of a sale that Staples was having which would allow her to get her very own Tim Teb-faux for a mere $19.95.

After finding the perfect photo of Tebow all decked out in fancy duds, Bird had the image printed, glued it to some cardboard, and then attached back supports with a handle.

The cardboard cutout of Tebow was a huge hit at the prom, making his way into a whole slew of pictures and even spent a good amount of time being passed around the dance floor.

When discussing her date with the Sioux City Journal, Bird claimed he was nothing but a perfect gentleman all evening. “He was a cheap date, and he didn’t talk much. And when I asked him to stand in a corner, he did. I don’t think it even hurt his feelings.”

As far as the typical post-prom activities go, we think in this case it’s safe to say that Tim Tebow remains a virgin.
