Many of us know what it’s like to drink too much and then make stupid decisions. But that usually means alcohol, not coffee.

According to a Washington man’s claim, too much caffeine can make you do some pretty inappropriate things as well.

Kenneth Sands, a school-bus driver, was arrested for allegedly grabbing a 46-year-old woman’s breasts and butt while attending a volleyball game. This apparently was just the first in a series of gropes that Sands would engage in that day. After the game, he also grabbed a 15-year-old girl’s butt, which he then followed up with a swift slap on the behind of a 16-year-old girl.

The excuse he gave the judge for his behavior was that he had consumed too much caffeine preceding the game. He said that the excessive amount of caffeine “caused a psychotic episode” and that his daughter and son-in-law could vouch for him because they had never before seen him engage in that kind of behavior.

Sands was sentenced to 30 days in jail after being found guilty on five counts of fourth-degree assault. Let’s hope for his sake his fellow inmates won’t have one too many cups of coffee or soda during his stay.
