You just knew we were going to kick off another workweek with yet another story of a teacher behaving badly.
Erin Elizabeth McAuliffe, a 25-year-old math teacher at Rocky Mount Preparatory School is accused of having sexually related contact with not one, not two, but three male students. Wow.
North Carolina Teacher Charged With Having Sex With Three High School Students
McAuliffe’s wrongdoings came to a half after Rocky Mount police were notified by administrative staff from Rocky Mount Preparatory School of the possible inappropriate relationships involving the teacher. An investigation, which featured multiple interviews with students and faculty members from the school, revealed that McAuliffe was having sexual contact with two 17-year-old students and a 16-year-old, too.
McAuliffe was of course fired, arrested and charged with three counts of sexual activity with a student and one count of indecent liberties with a minor — the sexual incidents occurred off campus according to police.
“We have been fully cooperative with local law enforcement during the course of their handling of this matter,” Rocky Mount Preparatory said in a statement.
The teacher has now bonded out and is scheduled to appear in court on the 12th of this month.
