There are so many awful things happening in the world that you can’t take any risks, which is why an 81-year-old man in the German town of Bretten decided to call the police when he came across an unexploded bomb from World War II. Well, OK, it wasn’t exactly a bomb.

The man didn’t come across a bomb, in fact he came across something that won’t be harming anyone anytime soon — he came across a freaking zucchini. Yep, you heard that right.

Police from Karlsruhe, shared the incident on their Facebook, and agreed that the 16-inch squash “really did look very like a bomb.”

Police now believe that someone just threw the zucchini over the old man’s hedge. But in conclusion, there was no bomb, just a gross vegetable that no one enjoys eating. OK, so some people enjoy eating it, although I’m still trying to figure out why.
