It’s pretty sad that in the year 2017 people are still going around dropping racist slurs but unfortunately that is the reality of things. And CBS Atlanta anchor Sharon Reed knows first hand what that’s all about as she receives plenty of hate mail at work. And one of those pieces of mail came from a woman named “Kathy Rae,” who decided to use the N-word in a piece of mail Reed showed on air.
This is just part of what Kathy Rae tells Reed in the letter:
You need to be fired for the race baiting comment you made tonight.
It’s OK for blacks to discuss certain subjects but not whites, really??? you are what I call a Niger not a black person. you are a racist Niger. you are what’s wrong with the world
As you can tell, Rae doesn’t know how to spell which isn’t shocking. And while Reed calls out Rae’s spelling errors, she also took the time to blast her on air. Check out the video below.

Damn. As you can see this is how you clap back:
“I think when arguing with somebody, you have to be careful not to mischaracterize their viewpoint. So I won’t mischaracterize your view either, Kathy Rae. I get it. On December 5, 2017, you think it’s okay to call this journalist a n***er. I don’t, but I could clap back and say a few things to you. But instead, I’ll let your words, Kathy Rae, speak for themselves.”
And Twitter was loving Reed’s response. Here are some of the best reactions:
