The BET Awards celebrate African-American accomplishments in entertainment and sports, but for the sake of our coverage, we’re going to stay in our lane by keeping it to the music categories.

New mama, Beyonce beat out her own sister Solange and Bruno Mars for Album of the Year, although Mars did take home the Male R&B/Pop Artist. See the list of music award nominees and winners below.

The other big winner at the 2017 BET Awards show was Chance the Rapper who lost Best Male Hip Hop Artist to Kendrick Lamar (although he did win Best New Artist), but was honored with the Humanitarian Award for his philanthropic efforts in Chicago by a stirring surprise cameo by former First Lady Michelle Obama.

Other highlights included DJ Khaled performing “I’m the One” off his just released Grateful album with a bevy of stars and a George Michael tribute by Kamasi Washington with El Debarge.
