New Music Tuesday: Kanye & Jay-Z, PJ Harvey, Social D & More!

The long-awaited first single from the dynamic duo collaboration of Kanye West and Jay-Z has arrived! We’ve also got the new video from Oasis survivors Beady Eye, a brand new PJ Harvey track, new Mogwai music and an unbelievable performance by The Black Keys on Letterman from Monday night. Let’s get our ear titillation on….

Jay-Z & Kanye West – H.A.M.

Spoiler alert: the title stands for “hard as a motherf*cker.” Jay-Z and Kanye go at it in this first track from the duo’s collaborative album Watch The Throne, which thankfully doesn’t sound like leftovers from the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy sessions. The grandiosity remains, however, and while most rappers ride a beat through a song, Ye and Hova have presented sweeping, classical-infused musical overachievement that reaches far beyond a "beat".

Listen over at Antiquiet. Watch The Throne is out 3/1 via Def Jam.

Beady Eye – The Roller

The new music video from Oasis remainders Beady Eye has been unveiled, for their new song “The Roller”. It’s the third single from their forthcoming album, Different Gear, Still Speeding, and will be available for download on January 24th and released on a 7, along with the b-side “Two Of A Kind,” on February 21st. The album comes out on February 28th.

PJ Harvey – Words That Maketh Murder

There’s been an avalanche of of new PJ Harvey material this week, prior to the release of her new album Let England Shake which is set for a February 14th release. Yesterday we got to hear "The Glorious Land", "Bitter Branches" and "Hanging The Wire,"  and last night Zane Lowe premiered another PJ track called "The Words That Maketh Murder".

The Black Keys – Howlin’ For You (Live on Letterman)

The Black Keys tore the hell out of their appearance on Saturday Night Live last weekend, and last night the guys took to the stage for David Letterman’s show. They performed "Howlin’ For You," a searing boiler from the band’s excellent 2010 album Brothers. Check it:
