Canada's biggest venues, both indoors and out, will be jam-packed with great musical acts from across the globe this summer. Representing almost every musical genre, bands and artists, both old and new, will be making stops in some of the country's most popular cities.
Metallica – Death Magnetic Tour
With stops in Halifax (which we recently announced) and Quebec City, Metallica will also be hitting up Australia, Europe, Asia, and South America on their Death Magnetic Tour (named after the album of the same name released back in '08).
U2 – 360
The Irish band U2 and they're impressive shows are always a huge draw – they'll do a number of concerts across Canada including two shows at an outdoor venue in Montreal, where they actually paid for a renovation to expand it and accommodate more fans.
Usher – OMG Tour
Usher has had a great two years – he released the album Versus and starred in the flick "Killers" in 2010 and has enjoyed a string of hits including his collaborative effort with will.i.am "OMG" in 2011.
Gabriel released his first album all the way back in 1977, and now the iconic Brit is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He has a number of live appearances scheduled all around North America in the coming months.
Rihanna – Loud Tour
The always beautiful Rihanna will be heating up stages in places like Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Vancouver, promoting her 2010 album of the same name.
Tongue-lashings are coming to a Canadian city near you this July as Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer, and Eric Singer don makeup and leather for a number of exciting shows.
Kid Rock – Born Free Tour
Ten Canadian stops are on Kid Rock's schedule this month – he released two albums last year and has another in the works for a 2012 debut.
Your favourite high school band is hitting the road and making a couple of appearances in Canada, like playing at the Canada Day Festival at Downsview Park in Ottawa July 1st.
Kenny Chesney – Goin' Coastal Tour
For you country fans, check out Kenny Chesney in concert at venues that include the Calgary Stampede, Air Canada Centre and Rogers Arena.
Keith Urban – Get Closer Tour
Another hot country ticket, Nicole Kidman's (lucky) husband Keith Urban will be gracing stages in Ontario as well as western Canada this September.
