Lil Wayne is set to release another new studio album in the coming months, according to his label boss. After spending the majority of 2010 behind bars in New York's Riker's Island, the man has been on a spitfire creative streak that shows no sign of slowing. The rapper, who delivered his ninth studio album 'Tha Carter IV' last Summer, has reportedly completely finished his next LP.
Bryan 'Birdman' Williams, who runs Cash Money Records, says the follow-up is already done and ready to go – and it'll be here for Summertime.
“It's gonna be before the summer for sure,” Birdman told Complex. “We haven’t picked the date yet. Whenever he’s ready to drop his album, we’re gonna make it do what it do. He’s definitely got an album done and ready to go. Wayne works a lot. There’s no telling [if Rebirth 2 will happen]. But I know for sure we’ve got 'I Am Not A Human Being 2' ready to go. That’s the next project."
The first "I Am Not A Human Being" offering arrived in 2010, and has been certified platinum.
Birdman revealed that “Like Father, Like Son 2” was also in the works, and will likely be released this year as well. The duo released the first edition, “Like Father, Like Son” in 2006.
Additionally, Lil Wayne wrote a book documenting his time in prison, titled 'Gone Till November'. It's expected to be released on November 28 of this year.
