We just can't wait until the "I sold my car for Yeezy kicks" stories start to surface. A full year after Kanye West first debuted his signature black Air Yeezy 2 sneakers in The Black Mamba short film, we've finally gotten a concrete street date and full product shots of the hotly anticipated new kicks.
The Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum sneaker was first spotted on Kanye back at the 2011 MTV VMAs. The shoes sport several Egyptian glyph motifs, including the Horus image on the tongue and dust bag (reminiscent of Kanye’s Horus chain) and hieroglyphics along the velcro.
Departing from the first Air Yeezy sneakers that hit in 2009, the Yeezy 2s don’t appear to have a lacelock or Y-print, but are supplemented with more details along the side panels, upper, and strap.
The shoes will be available at LimitedEdt.com and other stores around the world next month (April 13th) but will undoubtedly sell out immediately. Don't believe me?
That pic's a few days old already. April 13 is still more than 3 weeks away.
