Over the weekend while performing at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Madonna asked fans mid-show, "How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?" ("Molly" being a slang term for MDMA, the main ingredient in the drug ecstasy) – this sparked a major twitter debate between the female popstar and Canadian DJ Deadmau5.

"Very classy there Madonna. 'HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???"' he tweeted on Monday. He also wrote, "Such a great message for the young music lovers at Ultra. Quite the…philanthropist. But hey, at least (you're) HIP AND TRENDY!…That's your big message to Ultra attendees? Hipsterspeak for looking for drugs?"

This launched a back and forth convo between Madge and the Niagara Falls performer, ending with Madonna's final tweet on the topic, "Communication is always best. You should have called me first, we could have cleared it up 'privately.' 😉 See you on the road." Deadmau5 replied, "Well there you have it kids. I've said what I needed to say, which I'll still stand by, and so did she. Life goes on. No more talk of that."

Deadmau5, whose real name is Joel Zimmerman, is known for donning an oversized mouse head during his performances. On his official website it says, "Now firmly established as one of the most innovative and popular electronic live acts globally, Deadmau5 has had an outstanding year. In May 2010 he unveiled the visual orgy of the cube stage and his highly-anticipated L.E.D ‘mau5ehead’." The year climaxed with a 17,000 capacity sell out show at London’s Earls Court – he was the first-ever electronic artist to headline the legendary venue.
