WTF?! Psy of ‘Gangnam Style’ Sang About Torturing & Killing Americans

It's safe to assume that this particular viral smash fad is coming to a rapid conclusion.

It's been the inescapable, inexplicable nonsense smash hit of the past few months, and the entire world has been pretending to ride a horse awkwardly in a dance popularized by the music video for "Gangnam Style". Surpassing 900 million views, the clip is now the most successful YouTube video of all time, and hit #1 on iTunes in 31 countries.

The only problem? Psy, the South Korean pop star responsible for the song and ensuing viral smash, sang a song about torturing and killing americans "slowly and painfully" in 2004, according to NY Mag

Psy performed the song during a 2004 protest against the U.S. presence in Iraq following the beheading of a Korean missionary. In a song called "Dear American" by the band N.E.X.T., Psy rapped the following lines:

Kill those fucking Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives
Kill those fucking Yankees who ordered them to torture
Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers
Kill them all slowly and painfully

We don't feel like doing the horse dance anymore.

Something tells me we won't be dancing the "Gangnam Style" nonsense much longer. Psy is still due to perform on Sunday at the National Building Museum's Christmas in Washington concert, which President Obama is scheduled to attend. Just wait until Fox News gets ahold of this one.
