The Decemberists and a Daft Punk robot suit showed up on Sunday night's episode of "The Simpsons," in an episode titled 'The Day The Earth Stood Cool'.

As Wild Flag singer/"Portlandia" star Carrie Brownstein moves in as Homer's new neighbor along with fellow "Portlandia" creator and SNL genius Fred Armisen, the duo infect Springfield with hipster culture. As the story moves along, we also see Daft Punk appear, taking the part of recurring character Disco Stu, who appears wearing a Daft Punk robot costume saying, "Disco Stu has found a new thing".

The Decemberists also make an appearance (did you see them walk past in the clip above?) as guests of schoolteacher Edna Krabappel. They're only the latest in a streak of musicians to appear on the show's 25-year run, which includes Lady Gaga, The Ramones, The White Stripes, Red Hot Chili Peppers and more in cartoon form.
