Beyonce will have some company during her headlining slot at the 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans on February third: Destiny's Child will perform, with Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland rejoining their former group leader onstage.

On Thursday, Beyonce confirmed that the group will release their first new material in eight years later this month. Destiny's Child will perform their new song "Nuclear," as well as a medley of their greatest hits, reports US Weekly.

Destiny's Child broke up in 2006 when it became clear that Beyonce was ready to focus entirely her solo career, and in the ensuing years the pop princess has utterly dominated the music scene, rising to the status of one of the most beloved and recognized stars in the world and marrying Hip-Hop legend Jay-Z.

Meanwhile, Beyonce's forthcoming new album will feature a star-studded cast of producers and contributors. She will be debuting a song from the record during her Super Bowl halftime show.

"I've been working with Pharrell and Timbaland and Justin Timberlake and Dream," she told GQ.

Let's have a look back at the best Destiny's Child track ever written:
