The speculation has finally come to an end, the hysteria and mysterious psychedelic videos have all pointed to this moment, and now we are here: the official lineup has arrived for the 2013 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

There are a great many mid-level highlights to look froward to, including How To Destroy Angels, Ghost and a reunited Jurassic 5, as well as the Wu-Tang Clan, Postal Service and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Tegan and Sara will be riding a high wave with their new album, and Johnny Marr, Nick Cave and Reignwolf will be welcome additions.

One can't help but feel a little let down in the headliners category, however. UK imports will be thrilled with the Stone Roses and Blur co-headlining, but American audiences truly don't care that much. Add that to the fact that festival stalwarts Red Hot Chili Peppers are anchoring the final day of the fest (concluding their I'm With You tour), not to mention the curious choice to propel Phoenix to headliner status, and you've got a peculiar stew for this year's double-weekend blast in the deserts of California.

In short, who cancelled?
