Trent Reznor's latest project How To Destroy Angels, a collective featuring the Nine Inch Nails frontman, his wife and singer Mariqueen Maandig, art director Rob Sheridan and magnificently melancholy composer Atticus Ross, is only weeks away from delivering their full-length debut LP, and are kicking up the promotion with a disturbingly dystopian new video.

In a new video for the song "How Long," from the band's upcoming album Welcome Oblivion, an expectedly dark narrative unfolds, featuring a man with glowing being hunted by his fellow man in a nightmarish minimalist reality.

The video was created and directed by the London-based visual arts collective Shynola, who "had a great conversation where the band articulated their ideas about modern identity, the effect of technology on culture and our inability to connect with others. We're fascinated by anthropology and coincidentally we had been toying with ideas for a feature film about a post-technology civilization, in which humans have reverted to primitive behavior. Sometimes things just fit together."

How To Destroy Angels' full-album debut Welcome Oblivion arrives on March 5. Beyond that, we may have more than a hint that King Crimson guitarist Adrian Belew will be joining Nine Inch Nails for a reunion tour in the fall.
