The entirety of the music industry descended on Anaheim, CA last week for the 2013 National Association of Music Merchants convention (NAMM) and amidst the ocean of gorgeous guitars & drums we were like kids in a musical candy store, scoping the latest tech developments and offerings from every facet of the trade.

Leading industry names in amps, mics, horns, pianos and a veritable partridge in a pear tree were all on display at the Anaheim Convention Center's four sprawling levels, while members of Black Sabbath, No Doubt, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Van Halen and many more posed for pics and signed autographs with attendees. The event wasn't available to the public, but was rather a showcase by industry movers & shakers to align forces and further the brands the music world knows and loves.

93,908 total registrants applied for NAMM 2013, meaning nearly 100,000 people crammed through the convention doors in its nearly week-long run, soaking up the sheer magnitude of NAMM's incredible offerings and lining up for copious amounts of freebies, autographs and exclusive opportunities to try the gear out in a hands-on manner. Naturally, CraveOnline was on hand to take part!

In addition to copious offerings in guitars and amps, on hand were representatives for Blue microphones, and one particularly lovely rep walked us through the details on Nessie, the brand's new & affordable all-inclusive $99 mic:

Additionally, we got hands-on with Monster's new line of DNA headphones to see just how crisp and bright the sound is:

Check out a walkthrough on the DCJ.4 turntable mixer from DJ Spark at the Gibson Pro Audio display showcase. The DCJ.4 features software integration, sampling, effects, and mixing all in one powerful system.

Finally, CraveOnline got an exclusive walkthrough on Electro-Harmonix's new line of effects pedals. Featured in this clip are their high-end 45000 multi-track looping recorder pedal, the HOG 2 guitar synthesizer, and the 8 Step Program.:
