JUNO Award Nominees Announced

The nominees for the 2013 JUNO Awards were announced during a press conference in Toronto this morning, and Mission, British Columbia songstress Carly Rae Jepsen has received the most nods with five in total.

Jepsen is nominated in the categories of Juno Fan Choice Award, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Pop Album of the Year. She is followed by Justin Bieber, who also received nominations for Juno Fan Choice Award, Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year. Jepsen, along with Billy Talent, Marianas Trench, and host Michael Buble, will all perform at the live event, which will take place in Regina.

Landing their first-ever JUNO Award nominations in the Breakthrough Artist of the Year category (which used to be the New Artist of the Year slot) are up-and-coming artists Cold Specks, Elisapie, Grimes, Kira Isabella, and The Weeknd.

Tickets for the 2013 JUNO Awards go on sale on Friday, February 22nd at 10am CST and will cost between $59-$189 (plus taxes and service charges). They are available through the Evraz Place Box Office, by phone at 1-855-985-5000, and online at Ticketmaster.

The JUNO Awards will take place on April 21st and will air on CTV.
