The new and eternally delayed album from How To Destroy Angels is finally upon us. The group, fronted by Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor, has teamed up with Pitchfork to stream Welcome Oblivion more than two weeks ahead of its March 5th release date (pre-order here).

It's not as simple as a click, however. You can stream the album at Pitchfork’s new service, Pitchfork Advance, which “…allows fans to engage with album art, lyrics, credits, track listings, artist info, and more while they listen.” It's an immersive visual experience paired with the audio, but largely feels like watching a TV with bad reception. You know, from the rabbit ears era. Dive in right here.

How To Destroy Angels is Trent Reznor and wife Mariqueen Maandig as well as Atticus Ross and Rob Sheridan. Fans of Nine Inch Nails will find a more welcome sound on Welcome Oblivion than on previous HTDA releases, most specifically for the fact that Reznor contributes vocals (backup, at least) to multiple tracks on the album.
