
Niche Productions and global music giant Live Nation have joined together to debut Movement, a new hip hop festival that will stop in four major Australian cities.
Movement will be headlined by hip hop legend Nas who will curate the festival for at least the next couple of years.
The Queens, NY native recently announced he will also be recording a collaboration with multi-platinum selling Australian rap duo Bliss N Eso to appear in their new album set for release this year.
Nas’ involvement goes beyond a few performances. He has taken a lead role in organising the inaugural festival and will also be involved as an artist and programmer for 2014 and 2015 versions of the festival.
Also featuring will be popular rapper 2 Chainz and the aforementioned Bliss N Eso. Chiddy Bang is onboard while mixtape heroes Joey Bada$$ and Angel Haze have also been confirmed.
Australian hip hop acts Spit Syndicate and Thundamentals will play in selected cities.
Tickets to Movement go on sale Feb 11.
