Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to Score David Fincher’s ‘Gone Girl’

After an Academy Award and a Grammy from their first two collaborations, Reznor and Ross eye a third Fincher film project.

With an Academy Award undoubtedly helping fuel momentum, Nine Inch Nails nucleus Trent Reznor and longtime collaborator Atticus Ross are scoring the next David Fincher film, Gone Girl. The project marks the third such occasion Reznor and Ross have scored a Fincher movie, following The Social Network (2010) and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2011).

The movie follows the bestseller novel written by Gillian Flynn, with a cast including Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris and Emily Ratajkowski. Affleck will star as Nick Dunne, a man accused of murdering his wife Amy (Pike) after she goes missing the day of their fifth anniversary. Gone Girl is scheduled to open on October 3rd.
