When it was announced that Kanye West would headline Glastonbury 2015 the festival’s organisers received a ton of criticism, and it seems that even when Kanye finally took to the stage to deliver his much-anticipated performance, there were some among the crowd who weren’t happy with him being appointed main headliner.
While Kanye delivered a rousing, divisive set from the iconic Pyramid Stage, a festival-goer was busily trying to distract him by waving a flag that featured an image from his wife Kim Kardashian’s sex tape with singer Ray J.
A photograph of the flag surfaced on Twitter, along with the caption: “Someone printed kim k giving ray j head on a flag and waved it about as Kanye performed at Glastonbury ahahahaha.”
But Kanye’s performance wasn’t just dividing opinion at the festival itself, with it also inspiring a barrage of criticisms from those watching at home. Most of their ire was directed towards the Yeezus rapper’s odd cover of Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ while his proclamation that he was the “greatest living rock star” also got on the wrong side of the inherently humble UK audience.
Kim Kardashian attended the festival alongside Kanye, branding his performance the “craziest show ever.” She’s have probably been a little less joyous about attending the festival had she saw the flag.
